Onlooker
I have an Optiarc DVD RW AD-7201S and I'm having problems burning a dual layer iso/mds. I read and followed the guide on NEC/Optiarc drives, but it still doesn't work. I've set the booktype to DVD-ROM via the icon in the Read mode and it set itself as Active and when I was burning the disc, the status window did list the booktype as DVD-ROM. But when I checked the burned disc, the booktype remained DVD+R DL. Also, when I look at the Change Book Type menu now, under "Drive (For DVD+R DL Media)" it says "This setting is NOT active". What am I doing wrong? ImgBurn.log Edited July 9, 2013 by Onlooker
mmalves
Booktyping DVD+R DL media to DVD-ROM is automatic for most burners (Optiarc included) and, as you can see... I 15:55:29 Cycling Tray before Verify... W 15:55:37 Waiting for device to become ready... I 15:55:50 Device Ready! I 15:55:51 Operation Started! I 15:55:51 Source Device: [5:0:0] Optiarc DVD RW AD-7201S 1.Z3 (D:) (ATA) I 15:55:51 Source Media Type: DVD+R DL (Book Type: DVD-ROM) (Disc ID: MKM-003-00) ... your burned disc was correctly booktyped to DVD-ROM, so you did nothing wrong. Onlooker
Oh, that's a relief. But why does it say the booktype is DVD+R DL when I check the disc through Read mode?
LIGHTNING UK!
The ADIP info never changes, look at the 'Last Recorded' one.
Onlooker
Ah. That one says DVD-ROM as you said. Thank you both for the help.
