You said in another forum not to use rewrite-able discs when burning wii iso files but I am curious why we can't or shouldn't if all through out google other people are using them just fine?

Generally speaking, they have higher error levels than write once media and would be harder for a drive to read back. If they work for you, use them. It's your call at the end of the day.

That's the value of the "Verify" option.
