Larry6295
I am kind of new at using Imgburn. I read that when burning a dual layer disc that you should use SPLIP = No because older players cannot do the seamless layer break. I will be making DVD's to give out to family members. My question is how old is "older players". Some of the comments regarding layer breaks go back several years. I know that a player 10 years old is "old". How about 5 or 6 years? Is that old? I don't like the one second pause but I also don't want to give out DVD's that will stop when the player hits the layer break. Basically, how long have the players been out that will support seamless layer breaks? Thank you.
Cynthia
IMHO more than 10 years old if I recall when the original tests/discussions were done regarding the playback function.
Larry6295
Thanks for responding. Does that kind of suggest that Players in the 5-8 year range could probably read the "Seamless" DVD's (SPLIP = Yes") ?
