dontasciime Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Ok i bought this program tonight, as i used to use the free version each drive manufacturer provided. I bought it cos samsung/hitachi/fujitsu no longer provide this tool, and i was having issues with partition magic 8. Anyways i presumed it would allow me to create a dos version to prepare 2 sata2 hard drives a samsung 300 gig and hitachi 200 gig It only creates bootable floppy disc, now this would not be problem as i can use nero or imgburn to create ISO. Heres the problem though, it creates 2 floppy discs, the only difference with floppy 2 is DMZIP2, which is not on floppy one as floppy 1 is not big enough. There is nothing on floppy one i can delete to then put dmzip2 on. Am i missing the obvious here, or is there a way imgburn can sort this out. Long day, headache and tbh had enough been shitty day got ripped off with 4 gig of crappy memory from ebay as well thanks
bootsector Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Hi! All you need is a program similar to Partition Magic, right? If so, you should never buy this kind of software before take a look on this ass kicking freeware: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/ Best regards, bootsector
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Acronis do some great utils for various disk based activities - if you're ever in the market to buy another one!
dontasciime Posted September 18, 2006 Author Posted September 18, 2006 I have the acronis one in fact i got quite a few that will do the job. I just like / trust the ontrack one, well the specific versions for each of my diff manufacturers hard drives. As the one i bought will do any. Thanks
