andrixnet Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I am experiencing problems trying to write ISO images onto CD's with ImgBurn. I am using the latest version, that is 2.5.8.0. What happens is that regardless of what speed I select, ImgBurn always uses the highest speed returned by the drive and inserted blank. I tried AWS as well, without success. To be precise: Writer is an ASUS DRW-24B5ST 1.00 (ATAPI).Supported Write Speeds: 16x, 24x, 32x, 40x, 48x Medium is a "Maxell" branded CD identified as: 97m15s17f (Ritek Co.) Selecting write speed 16x from the dropdown has no effect, ImgBurn writes at 48x. Using AWS with this blank and this writer set at 16x both have no effect, ImgBurn writes at 48x. I am attaching the log for this operation. I used test mode to write the CD for the purpose of posting here, after I effectively burned several CD's at the undesired speed of 48x. The test was aborted by me early on because it was evident that 16x was surpassed early on. I fact it was evident by the audible evidence of the drive spinning the CD at a higher RPM then when actually writing at 16x with other software. ImgBurn.log
