Shenanigans Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 I downloaded the latest version and told it not to install toolbars or the Password program and now I'm infected. how dare you install 3rd party programs!!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 If you opt out correctly, nothing should get installed. All of that stuff is handled by the OpenCandy platform.
Shenanigans Posted September 17, 2013 Author Posted September 17, 2013 No so! I restored my PC from an image and sure enough when I went to run it again there was no choice to opt out like in the past. Suggest you go and try downloading and trying yourself before you put garbage on everyone's computer.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Maybe this will help you... http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=21970
Shenanigans Posted September 18, 2013 Author Posted September 18, 2013 Custom installed is grayed out
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 AFAIK, you can still click it (I've edited / updated the guide accordingly).
Shenanigans Posted September 18, 2013 Author Posted September 18, 2013 Double checked and yes you can. Why on earth are you using this installer program? It really misleads users by install spyware and that is hard to remove.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 I've already asked OpenCandy to give developers the option of making the greyed/disabled 'custom' radio buttons look 'normal' again... it's work in progress.
