Burning huge compressed files to a Blu-Ray disc?

I use ImgBurn for almost everything I put on an optical disc.  I thought I had it all figured out!  But...I am trying to burn a bunch of 22GB files that were created by WinZip15.5 and ImgBurn will not recognize them.  Windows 8 File Manager will do the job but it wants to copy the file(s) to the system partition (SSD) before starting the burn process.  I know I'm overreacting but I don't want to "wear out" my SSD burning files to a Blu-Ray disc.  For some reason  ImgBurn does not recognize .zip files or for that matter any compressed file .z01,z02...etc.  Help would be appreciated.

You're probably in 'Write' mode... which will be expecting a disc image file.

Use 'Build' mode - 'Write files/folders to disc'.

If you're already in 'Build' mode, you must be using the wrong button/dialog box (one shows folders, the other shows files). To make it easier, click the 'Input' menu option at the top of the main window and then click the 'Advanced' option. The 'Disc Layout Editor' window is easier to navigate. :)
