Can only reach write speeds of 16X?!

Hey guys,

I hope this is a quick resolution but I've been using IMGBurn and I cannot reach a lower write speed than 16x when burning MDF + BIN's (Haven't tried another trype of image but I believe it's the same)

I have a http://www.lg.com/us/data-storage/lg-GH24NS95/technical...

Using 800mb Verbatim cd-r's 40x speed

Any help?

What does the program list for 'Supported Write Speeds' in the box on the right?

 

Whatever's in that box is all the drive/firmware/media combo support.

These are the only speeds supported by your drive and 16x is the slowest available to you.

that's a bummer. could anyone suggest a cd/dvd writer which can reach at least 4x at a reasonable price? talking £20-40
