This is making me crazy..

At first i had the problem "SCSI/ATAPI devise not found", i tried the regfiles etc. to solve the problem. But not succesful. I am kind of beginner, please help me!

I get this log right now.. it just go on and on...

Now i have the message "No devises found".

I have not had this kind of problems before, i usually can solve most things by myself, but not this time.. :angry:

That log clearly shows it's finding 2 drives on your PC.

If it says medium not present in the status bar it means either you don't have a disc in the drive or the drive just doesn't support the media you've put in it.

heres also mine, after burning 3 dvds succesfully (those dvds are movie backups all playing ok without any errors and also been tested on a dvd player)

the fourth dvd i was going to burn but ended up with these error;

i have 2 optical drives a it shows on the logs. One i use to burn , and one i just use for movies/reading installers

edit:

btw, it can detect cds of any type. and burn cds as well but not dvds anymore.

i also tried uninstall/reinstall imgburn , and my other burning programs (DVDfab and alcohol 120% no vail)

The pic quality was a little grainy so I may not have read it right but if your drive is the SOHW-1693s model it might be getting a little old and tired now ? From a quick scan of Google it appears to have been around since at least 2005 and depending on use it may just have retired itself.

I believe that drives have a seperate laser for CD and DVD burning, therefore I think it's possible that the DVD one has gone whilst the CD laser is still working ok at the moment......

well i bought it 2006, my S/N said it was made in taiwan in 2006

but anyways thanks for your help your saying i might as well buy a new dvd-multiburner?

Two years doesn't sound like a long time, but it's dog years for 'puter hardware...regardless of usage sometimes things just decide to go south.

EDIT: I'm totally confused...seems someone has been hijacking.
