Two Technical Questions (VOL label and MEI code)

I am now to this whole area of DVD recording but I had a couple of technical questions I was hoping someone could answer about ImgBurn. It might take someone that knows the software well.

Question 1: I notice that all my discs have a Source File Implementation Identifier of "MEI_VED". Do all burned discs from ImgBurn have the same one? And, is the id "MEI_VED" unique to ImgBurn.

Question 2: I notice that using default volume labels which are two four byte words like "XXXX-YYYY", the "XXXX" portion seems to remain the same for this particular computer and burner, but the "YYYY" part seems to change. Is this because the first part is always defaulted to the same four-byte-word and the second part "YYYY" is generated on the fly? I am trying to understand how the volume labels are generated for ImgBurn.

Thanks for any help you guru's might be able to give me on the above questions.

Regards :).

Neither of those fields contain values that ImgBurn is putting there.

The implementation ID one would be the same if the same program is creating the file system. It's nothing to do with what burns the disc, just the actual creation part.

The volume label is whatever you want it to be. Again, yours isn't coming from ImgBurn.
