Slow (hard) drive

Hello -- I  had a dvd iso on a usb2 drive -- I tried to burn the image on a disk but the process seem to be taking forever -- I also notice a message of some sort and the botton of the  (burn) window that   imgburn was trying to reach some level.

 

In this case were the source of the ISO is "too slow" does imgburn try to copy the iso to %temp% and read it from there?

 

I did stop  imgburn and copied the iso to a local disk (SATA) on the computer and burned from there and the process just took a few minutes to finish
