how should i specify the volume label?

today i tried to burn some files to a disc with imgburn.after i pressed the "build" botton to start the burning process,a new window  came out to ask me choosing volume label.can u explain in more details what does volume label mean?and how should i specify the volume label?

It's what you see in explorer when you put a disc in.

so u mean i can specify volume label abusolutly as my wish(if the name i specified were accepted by the computer),since it's just a name only,right?
