Adrianvdh Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Hi all, So when I loaded up ImgBurn after installing my Xbox ROM drive via USB 2.0. But ImgBurn shows it as normal 'USB'. Is this a bug or does ImgBurn show unknown USB types as 'USB'. I 15:34:51 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started! I 15:34:51 Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Edition (6.1, Build 7601 : Service Pack 1) I 15:34:51 Total Physical Memory: 8 379 444 KiB - Available: 5 117 016 KiB I 15:34:51 Initialising SPTI... I 15:34:52 -> Drive 1 - Info: HL-DT-ST BD-RE BH10LS30 1.01-A0 (E:) (ATA) I 15:34:54 -> Drive 2 - Info: PBDS VAD6038-64930C (F:) (USB) I 15:34:55 -> Drive 3 - Info: ATAPI iHAS524 B AL2A (L:) (ATA) I 15:34:55 -> Drive 4 - Info: DVDFab Virtual Drive 1.1 (T:) (SCSI) I 15:34:55 Found 1 DVD±RW/RAM, 1 BD-ROM/HD DVD-ROM, 1 BD-RE and 1 Unknown! Any idea?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 It can only show that USB info when it can get it from the OS. If it isn't being displayed, it must have run into an issue finding it out. The 'Unknown' is nothing to do with it.
Adrianvdh Posted December 12, 2013 Author Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) So could you add an exception and if it is true display out: W (Time) -> Drive (x) - Info: (vender) (label) (USB - Error: version unknown!) Edited December 12, 2013 by Adrianvdh
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I could but I won't as there's no point.
Adrianvdh Posted December 14, 2013 Author Posted December 14, 2013 But why? it would be like 2 lines of code, and gives the user information of why it does not show.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Show a user an error and they'll question it. They gain nothing by knowing there was a problem obtaining said info and it just creates more work for me when they ask why it isn't working.
Adrianvdh Posted December 14, 2013 Author Posted December 14, 2013 (edited) Oh how about this (my last attempt ) WARNING!!!! (Time) -> Drive (x) - Info: (vender) (label) (USB - Could not find driver version, shhhhh, it will all be ok) Something like that Plus don't users question about this?: W 20:08:33 DVDFab Passkey can interfere with ImgBurn's ability to verify accurately, please ensure it's disabled!
