kidperu Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I have tried 5 times to burn a blu-ray with no success. I followed your advice on trying different manufacturer's media. I was able to burn two discs prior to updating to the latest version of your software (don't know if the update is related to the issue). LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I guess your drive doesn't like CMC BD-R DL discs very much. Have you tried burning at the other supported write speeds? Are there any firmware updates available for your drive?
kidperu Posted December 13, 2013 Author Posted December 13, 2013 Thank you for the quick response. Have tried at other speeds. The funny thing is I was able to burn the blu ray early this morning using a Verbatin at 4X speed. Also, I did not find any firmware updates for my writer. Followed your link to firmware updates but nothing for my writer, any suggestions?
kidperu Posted December 13, 2013 Author Posted December 13, 2013 Also tried another software package called Magic Blu-ray Copy. Which utilizes your software to burn. After using their software I didn't understand the need or concept for their product, your comments would be appreciated
kidperu Posted December 13, 2013 Author Posted December 13, 2013 Sorry one more question, does Magic Blu-ray take the place of AnyDVD which your program doesn't like?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 The Verbatim disc probably used a different MID. The failure in that log was when burning to a 'CMCMAG-DI6-000' disc. Check and see what the Verbatim disc uses. I've never heard of Magic Blu-ray Copy. ImgBurn just burns stuff, it can't bypass protection on copy protected discs. My guess is that's what that program does... and it's what AnyDVD does too. ImgBurn has no problem with AnyDVD. AnyDVD changes things about discs on the fly. If it changes something on the disc you've just burnt, verification may fail. That's all the warning in the log is there for.
