Joker6x Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I just recently started burning using dvd+r disc. First attempt I used the write speed of 4x that my friend said to use and got a unreadable disc. Looked up help online and saw many people using 2.4x as there write speed so I tried that and it worked the next try. Upon trying to burn another disc I again tried the 2.4x but got the write speed miscompare error and it started writing at 4x which keeps giving me bad discs is there a way to stop it from automatically going to 4x speed so I can just keep it at 2.4x where it works?

Since only 4x, 6x, 8x are supported, pick one of it. There's a newer firmware out that may improve the writing on that media. Try all the speeds available. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Lite-On/iHAS424%2BB/files.html Get some better media. Verbatim MKM are recommended. Always verify your burns.
