cornholio7 Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 firstly use imgburn then you can get some support
dontasciime Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 (edited) don't overburn. Make whatever it is your burning smaller so it fits on the disc as no way are you gonna fit 3,000+ sectors onto your discs Edited September 24, 2006 by dontasciime
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 lol, 10 burns and you can't see *any* issue with what you're doing? W 12:11:01 User accepted disc space warning and is attempting to overburn!I 12:11:01 Operation Started! I 12:11:01 Source File: C:\Documents and Settings\eazy\Desktop\movies\LSS0N.MDS I 12:11:01 Source File Sectors: 3,784,223 (MODE1/2048) I 12:11:01 Source File Size: 7,750,088,704 bytes I 12:11:01 Source File Implementation Identifier: Daikin U.S. Comtec Lab I 12:11:01 Destination Device: [0:0:0] BENQ DVD DD DW1620 B7W9 (H:) (USB) I 12:11:01 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Disc ID: SONY-D21-00) (Speeds: 2.4x, 4x, 8x, 12x, 16x) I 12:11:01 Destination Media Sectors: 2,295,104 Perhaps reading what the program is telling you will help. You're trying to write like 7.4GB onto a 4.37GB disc - which of course would NEVER work.
eazypic Posted September 24, 2006 Author Posted September 24, 2006 (edited) well this is the same errors i get when i use Image burn, basically. I never had a problem burning disc that are to big before.... and if now this is going to be an issue, what can I use to shrink them as I dont have the original disc to start all over. Thanks Edited September 24, 2006 by eazypic
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Yeah you did. It's never changed and you'd always get error like that if you try to overburn by 3GB ! You might manage 100MB or so if you're lucky but that's about it. At the end of the day, this isn't an ImgBurn burning issue and that's what these forums are for. Search google and I'm sure you'll find something that tells you how to make your stuff smaller so it'll fit.
blutach Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 I dont have the original disc to start all over. Shame that. Regards

Shamus_McFartfinger Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Sometimes I am still surprised by posts.... At least there's no cats chewing on the wiring in this one. That one surprised me.
dontasciime Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 You're trying to write like 7.4GB onto a 4.37GB disc - which of course would NEVER work I can Well as long as i kind find my marker pen.
eazypic Posted September 26, 2006 Author Posted September 26, 2006 (edited) Lightning - you are right, as you should be ! Apparently every disc I have backedup lately didnt need to be shrunk, I just ripped and burned using the DVDD. I appologize for the misunderstanding..... thanks for the help though ! *************************************************** As for the rest of you ( the smartasses only ) do you get a kick out of making people that dont know shit, seems like dumb asses ? Again, Thanks for the info. and help with my mistakes. Edited September 26, 2006 by eazypic
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Glad you've now seen where you were going wrong.
digidragon Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 As for the rest of you ( the smartasses only ) do you get a kick out of making people that dont know shit, seems like dumb asses ? Oh come on! You started shouting in your first post, with an arrogant attitude: I AM NOT WASTING ANOTHER DISC TO GET THE LOG FILE FROM IMG BURN - SO I HOPE THIS FROM DVD D. WILL WORK LIGHTNING (along with other software authors) put lots of helpful, informative messages into software. And the user (you, along with plenty of other people) just goes ahead and ignores them!!! The smartasses, as you call them, are very helpful guys. They've just had enough of people who blunder in thinking that this FREE software somehow owes them something, when they can't even be bothered reading the useful feedback that the software is giving them!
