nukeum Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Can this be done i have a DVD +/- in the drive and a CD length ISO (in this case Windows XP SP3) and i cannot get the burn image to come up here is the entirety of the log file I 12:22:43 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started! I 12:22:43 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3) I 12:22:43 Total Physical Memory: 3,135,600 KiB - Available: 2,274,296 KiB I 12:22:43 Initialising SPTI... I 12:22:43 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 12:22:44 -> Drive 1 - Info: TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L532B DE04 (E:) (ATA) I 12:22:44 Found 1 DVD±RW! then at the bottom of the ImgBurn screen it states Device not ready (media Load or eject failed) i have used about 3 different discs and opened and closed the tray multiple times I know it is old equipment, so i might need a firmware update.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 You won't be able to do anything with any disc until the drive initialises it properly. This is out of ImgBurn's hands. You could try cleaning it with a cleaning disc or something.
