Hi,

My new Canon DVD camcorder managed to corrupt a DVD-R disk. I managed to copy across a gig of NRG file, but I can't access it via Windows, MagicIso, or ImgBurn. When I try to "add files" to ImgBurn I get an "invalid file" error. I'd appreciate any advice on whether it's possible to recover a corrupted file of this type.

Thanks, Judd

I didn't know camcorders made NRG files.

Even though it's not an ImgBurn problem, if you give us some more info, we might be able to help.

When you say the camcorder corrupted the image, how?

Hi, and thanks for the replies.

I had a DVD-R disk, took the disk out without finalising it (which I believe is ok to do) - but when I put the disk back in the camcorder would not read it, although it showed only 1 minute of recording time left. So I copied the disk image across, hoping that somehow I could recover the video footage. So basically I have an image of an unfinalised disk, and can't access the contents :-(
