Can I change book type setting with a Sony writer?

I have a Sony DL DVD Writer (DRU-800A) and I'm unable to change the book type setting in ImgBurn as Sony drives aren't a selectable tab in the Change Book Type window. As far as I know, my writer does allow for book type setting. I've used Nero up to this point in burning DVD+Rs and they've been book typed. If I can't change the book type setting with ImgBurn, is there a way to check if the book type is already set?

check under the Lite ON tab ,Sony farms out the manufacture of their drives to Lite On they dont make them themselves,you'll have to figure out what model Lite On the Sony really is or maybe someone here might know and cross flash it to that

I think that drive is really a liteon 1693s

It is indeed a LiteOn.
