meteloides Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Hi, I'm trying to burn a DVD and have been fighting with this all day on a Memorex DVD+R. I'm on Windows 7. I'm using the newest version of ImgBurn, and when I put the blank DVD into the drive, it flashes the following error messages on the bottom bar, the first one for a split second and the second one stays there. Device Not Ready (Unknown (ASC: 0x28, ASCQ: 0x81)) for half a second, then Device Not Ready (Logical Unit not ready, Cause not reportable). I know this is a DVD RW drive, and the disk is blank (I even tried with multiple disks). Is this batch bad, or is something wrong with my drive? It won't burn with anything else, either, not the Windows Image Burner or Nero 9. Nero 9 quits responding immediately and Windows Image Burner just keeps saying to put a blank disk in there. Please help, this is really frustrating.
ianymaty Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Seems the drive don't like the discs you use. Try some different medias. Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden are the recommendations.
