KEnglander Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I used my JVC DVD recorder to capture TV shows. During the most recent recording, I opted to stop it when it was first starting - it displayed a message to press STOP to cancel the scheduled recording. Unfortunately that seems to have corrupted the DVD, which already had about 7 tracks on it. The DVD recorder says it is invalid (that is not the exact message) and will not even keep it loaded. I tried using the Tools->Drive->Close for track, session, and disk. The track option thought for about 30 seconds (rough guess) and then just came back - while it was thinking, ImgBurn showed "not responding" on the banner line. The session and disk options result in the error shown in the attached file. The log is uninformative, but included. Is there anything else I can try that might fix this DVD? ; //****************************************\\; ImgBurn Version 2.5.7.0 - Log; Thursday, 15 May 2014, 09:45:13; \\****************************************//;;I 09:43:41 ImgBurn Version 2.5.7.0 started!I 09:43:41 Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium x64 Edition (6.1, Build 7601 : Service Pack 1)I 09:43:41 Total Physical Memory: 6,161,776 KB - Available: 3,674,072 KBI 09:43:41 Initialising SPTI...I 09:43:41 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...I 09:43:42 -> Drive 1 - Info: PLDS DVD+-RW DS-8A8SH KD11 (D:) (SATA)I 09:43:42 Found 1 DVD±RW/RAM!I 09:45:13 Close Request AcknowledgedI 09:45:13 Closing Down...I 09:45:13 Shutting down SPTI...I 09:45:13 ImgBurn closed!
ianymaty Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Try ISOBuster. Maybe you can extract the good files from that disc and build a new one.
