jez9999
When creating an image file from a disc, at the bottom-right corner of the dialog it gives me two read speed dropdowns separated by a forward slash (for example, MAX / 8x). What do these mean, why are there two of them? As it's not obvious, perhaps they should be labeled to show what they do?
LIGHTNING UK!
The tooltips tell you what they're for. Hover your mouse over them. One is for Data tracks, the other is for Audio tracks.
jez9999
Why would you want different read speeds for those?
LIGHTNING UK!
CD-DA Audio uses all 2352 bytes of the sector, so there's none of the extra error correction built in that you'd usually associate with data tracks/sectors. Reading slower can produce better results.
