noonand Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I was experiencing the error mentioned in this post and came up with a fix after what was mentioned there proved unhelpful. The post is over two years old so I didn't want to exhume it. The error is "CoCreateInstance(CLSID_SampleGrabber) Failed! - Reason: Class not registered" and I would get it for each compressed audio file that I was attempting to add. Search for qedit.dll. You will likely find it in a symlinked folder. Copy this file to your \Windows\System32 folder From an elevated command prompt run "regsvr32 qedit.dll" (sans quotes and adding the fully qualified path if you're not already in it) Now attempt to add an MP3 file; it should work I had one further issue when trying to use a FLAC file and that was that ImgBurn complained about not having OptimFROG.dll. That DLL was in the path but knowing how Windows looks for dependencies I just copied it in the ImgBurn folder. There's no need to register this one as it's not a registerable (sp?) DLL Hope this helps someone else!
