Tellurian Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I have found two seperate issues that confound me with the latest version of ImgBurn (2.5.8.0): 1.) Attempting to burn a very small ISO (Kon-Boot) fails every time; until you manually choose to burn with TAO instead of with SAO. I stumbled across this information while searching for a solution and after changing to TAO the 'Test' completed successfully. (I do not recall where I found this tip, but it was responded to by the developer stating that they would implement something to automatically change the SAO setting to TAO for burning very small images. 2009?) 2.) While preparing to post the ImgBurn log I found that it did not exist even though I had preferences set to create and append the existing log. I changed the location for the logs to a higher level and tried again. Selecting 'Append Existing' will write the log one time only. Sequential operations do not change the log from its original state. Selecting 'Overwrite Existing' actually appends the log. The following log was written with 'Overwrite' enabled. LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Most drives won't burn a track that's less than 150 sectors in SAO mode... yours rejects the CUE sheet being sent to it. Not sure what the issue is with the Log file, it works ok here. The program only writes to the file when it's being closed down - it doesn't do it as it goes (just so you know).
Tellurian Posted July 11, 2014 Author Posted July 11, 2014 Is it alright to leave ImgBurn in TAO mode? And, thank you for clarify how the log file writes. I had assumed that it wrote as it progressed because it can be read as it progresses.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I wouldn't... revert it to SAO. It's much better.
