I just started getting this error about a week ago.  I'm not sure why.  I don't know what to do about it.  I'm using Windows 7 64-bit Professional Service Pack 1.

Can I assume you've tried physically turning the computer totally off and on again? Liteon drives often have that problem and cycling the power to the drive fixes it.

LoL  DUH!  So stoopid!  NEVER occurred to me to do that.  I very rarely shut my pc down or restart it.  I did a cold boot on my pc and everything is right as rain.

I was assuming from what you wanted me to do a cold boot (power button shut down) or would a warm boot (restart) have worked as well?

A million "thank yous" my friend.
