bork Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 (edited) Hi, first time here so please be kind to me. Googled and read the FAQ's and the support forum still don't get/got it. Tried different speeds and other media but got the same error. Burnt with this drive 3 BR-media of 25 GB last month no problem at all. It's a new drive, only one month old. It plays everything, still does, doesn't burn anymore alas. What's buggin' me/us? 12:28:20 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Try installing the latest intel rapid storage technology drivers.
bork Posted September 20, 2014 Author Posted September 20, 2014 I installed the newest driver but I've to wait for restarting because another program is still busy. One question though, can you explain why the drive has worked before with the old driver and now we are trying a newer one? Thank you so much for helping btw!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Not really, no. It's timing out after 20 seconds when it shouldn't be. Lots of optical drive related operations take longer than 20 seconds to finish processing.
bork Posted September 22, 2014 Author Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) Try installing the latest intel rapid storage technology drivers. I tried, total fry up, went back to a backup of 8 September. Other things I tried, is remove the (lower) device driver from intel iastor.sys only cdrom.sys left but it doesn't help. So I'm still/again stuck. In the log there's a line -> I 09:25:23 Book Type Setting: N/A (Reason: Onjuiste functie.) Reason: onjuiste functie (incorrect function) is that troublesome? Edited September 22, 2014 by bork
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 That probably means the drivers are blocking the command that's normally used to query / set the booktype.
bork Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 It's working, replaced SATA-cable and put it on another port. Weird.
