richelm Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 The Denso SAT NAV disk that came with my 2005 Jaguar X-type went faulty a couple of years ago so I bought a replacement DIY copy and now this has started to deteriorate with the car's reader intermitently unable to regognise the disk. After much reading I decided the purchase some Verbatim DVD+R DL MKM-003-00 disks and try to make my own DIY copy. I have tried twice, unsuccessfully, both times changing the booktype to DVD-ROM using a Samsung TSSTcorp SN-208BB to burn the disks, which is at the latest available fimware version (SC01) Below is a copy of the program log followed by the disk info field from the main ImgBurn program, which on burn completion was identical to the disk I am trying to copy. (see attached) Any suggestions greatly appreciated. LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 You'll have to try in another drive. Some just aren't capable of burning copies that work in some navigation systems. As the working copy was burnt in an LG drive, try and use one of those.

You couldn't recommend a USB external one that will do the trick could you please as the one I am using is in my Laptop and as you say the slim ones aren't generally up for the job. Thanks again for your quick reply.
