dbminter Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 What happens when ImgBurn creates a DVD Video compliant job with a VIDEO_TS that fits on a single layer but you add files to the root directory so that the job size becomes dual layer? Does ImgBurn put the VIDEO_TS on the first layer so there's no need for a layer break? And then splits the remaining root directory files across both layers?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I believe it defaults to moving the dvd video folders to the start, so yes, it would be burning them to the first layer. Don't forget layers on a double layer disc aren't as large as a single layer disc.
dbminter Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 Yeah, I believe a DVD-R layer is 4,700,000,000 bytes and a DVD+R DL is 8,500 KiB. I ran two tests and each time ImgBurn never brought up a layer break prompt. So, it appears to be do just that.
