etwgaming Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 First time here. Been using IMGBurn for years with no issues. Thank you one or all who help me. Ok, I am using 2 ASUS 124B-1ST i drives One is less than 2 months old the other is a few days old Up until 4 or 5 days ago i havent had any problems I use Verbatim discs, for the last month i have used 003 (50pks) but prior to that i had always used 001 (20pks) Below you will find my latest IMGBurn log and a ABGX log Up until this last burn I guess I had "enable BurnProof" checked in the settings. Turned it off this last burn and when i did I got a I/O error for the first time when running "verify" after the disc was done burning. I dont know what else to do and would appreciate any help i can get I 12:35:10 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started!I 12:35:10 Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (6.1, Build 7601 : Service Pack 1)I 12:35:10 Total Physical Memory: 3,406,824 KiB - Available: 1,871,144 KiBI 12:35:10 Initialising SPTI...I 12:35:10 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...I 12:35:11 -> Drive 1 - Info: ASUS DRW-24B1ST i 1.00 (D:) (SATA)I 12:35:11 -> Drive 2 - Info: ASUS DRW-24B1ST i 1.00 (E:) (SATA)I 12:35:11 -> Drive 3 - Info: Clikfree Backup Drive 0.26 (I:) (USB 2.0)I 12:35:11 Found 2 DVD±RW/RAMs and 1 Unknown!I 12:54:49 Operation Started!I 12:54:49 Source File: J:\wwe15.dvdI 12:54:50 Source File Sectors: 4,267,015 (MODE1/2048)I 12:54:50 Source File Size: 8,738,846,720 bytesI 12:54:50 Source File Volume Identifier: DVD_ROMI 12:54:50 Source File Volume Set Identifier: d0a7c000MS UDFBridgeI 12:54:50 Source File Application Identifier: CDIMAGE 2.45 (12/06/2000 TM)I 12:54:50 Source File Implementation Identifier: Microsoft CDIMAGE UDFI 12:54:50 Source File File System(s): ISO9660, UDF (1.50)I 12:54:50 Destination Device: [0:0:0] ASUS DRW-24B1ST i 1.00 (E:) (SATA)I 12:54:50 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-003-00)I 12:54:50 Destination Media Supported Write Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8xI 12:54:50 Destination Media Sectors: 4,267,040I 12:54:50 Destination Media L0 Data Zone Capacity: 2,133,520 (Changeable: Yes)I 12:54:50 Write Mode: DVDI 12:54:50 Write Type: DAOI 12:54:50 Write Speed: 4xI 12:54:50 DVD+R DL Reserve Track: NoI 12:54:50 Link Size: AutoI 12:54:50 Lock Volume: YesI 12:54:50 Test Mode: NoI 12:54:50 OPC: YesI 12:54:50 BURN-Proof: DisabledI 12:54:50 Write Speed Successfully Set! - Effective: 5,540 KB/s (4x)I 12:54:50 Book Type Setting: N/A (Reason: Invalid Command Operation Code)I 12:54:50 Advanced Settings - Force HT: Yes, Online HT: No, OverSpeed: No, SmartBurn: YesI 12:55:16 Optimal L0 Data Zone Capacity: 2,133,520I 12:55:16 Optimal L0 Data Zone Method: Copied From Original DiscI 12:55:16 Set L0 Data Zone Capacity Succeeded!I 12:55:16 L0 Data Zone Capacity - Effective: 2,133,520I 12:55:17 Filling Buffer... LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Your drive produced a bad burn. Revert ImgBurn's settings to their default values, you don't need to mess around with them. If your drive supports the command, try clearing its OPC history. If it still can't produce a decent burn, you'll have to try sourcing another spindle of discs and hope they're better.
etwgaming Posted December 23, 2014 Author Posted December 23, 2014 (edited) Thanks UK, Put everything back to default. I got the MKM-001 discs now. Burned at 2.4. Cant Clear OPC as this drive doesnt allow it. LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Those aren't the default settings. MKM-001-00 were better being burnt at 4x than 2.4x. They may play for a while but as soon as it reaches the unreadable bit, it'll error out. Unreadable is unreadable.
