dbminter Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 ImgBurn's log returns that my version of Windows is: I 18:31:09 Microsoft Windows 8 Core x64 Edition (6.2, Build 9200) So, my question is why is Windows 8.1 Update 1 referred to as 6.2?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Technically it's 6.3 but Windows lies about it unless you add things to the exe's manifest or boot into safe mode. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/windows/desktop/ms724832(v=vs.85).aspx
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 I've no idea, you'd have to ask Microsoft
Cynthia Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Okay, I'll bite. Why is Windows 8 6.3? It's based on Vista. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc251966.aspx
