I have been having trouble with my blu ray burner and blu ray discs. The first thing I do is use MakeMKV, to copy the disc to the hard drive. Then I use Handbrake to encode the blu ray. I then use imgburn to burn the file to a bd-r disc and after doing that I put the disc into my blu ray player and it doesnt show anything on the disc. I use the original blu ray disc and use that with makemkv and so on. The file is still on my hard drive and there is sound. I have followed all the directions that websites have said to do with makemkv, handbrake, and imgburn and still nothing. The only thing I didnt see when doing everything was there wasn't a certificate folder created after ripping and encoding the disc. Does that make a difference?

Post the log of you burning and verifying a disc. What files are on the disc once you've burnt it? If it's not a correctly authored Blu-ray Disc and is just an mkv or MP4 file, does your player support playing such files from a disc?
