themfm Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Hello I have been using imgburn for years without any issue until I built my new computer(Windows 7 64 bit, and I used old Ihas124 burner from old computer) . I just built a new computer and installed imgburn. Every time I try and burn a back up of my Xbox 360 games I get keep getting the same I/O error. I have uninstalled imgburn and re-installed and I still receive the same error here is the error I get each time. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance. I/O Error! themfm Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 I forget to include that I am using Verbatims MK003
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 What does a kprobe scan of that disc look like? Reset imgburn back to the default settings, you don't need to touch anything to get s burn that works fine. Clear the drive's OPC history and try again. That disc is unreadable long before the layerbreak, which is where these things usually fail.
themfm Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 Okay Thanks Lighting I will reset imgburn back to the defaults settings and try and burn another. I did not scan any of the bad burns because if I turn the disc over and look at the disc you can see large gaps in the image that was put on the disc. On a different note should I re-flash my Ihas drive because I am using it with a new mother board just trying to think out of the box here Thanks again for any help I appreciate it.
themfm Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 Okay I uninstalled and re-installed imgburn, i did not change any of the default setting and I was able to burn a movie and verify 100%, I will make the the changes and try and burn a back-up XGD3 image and let you know.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Did you clear the drive's OPC history like I told you to in my previous post? Please do a kprobe scan on that disc @ 4x and post a screenshot of the final graph (not just the results/numbers/figures). Maybe your drive needs cleaning or you've got a bad batch of discs.
themfm Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 I completely uninstalled and re-installed imgburn, so no I did not clear OPC this time but every other I did clear the OPC. My habit is to clear the OPC before every burn. I will scan with Kprobe and post pic thanks for for the help. As far as the disc go I have used about 30 out of a 50 pack and had not had any errors or failed to verify unitl I built the new computer.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 The drive's OPC is nothing to do with ImgBurn, so uninstalling / reinstalling doesn't touch it. There's no reason for your drive to behave differently in your new machine. It's a piece of hardware and should be no more / less capable of burning discs now than it was before. If your old PC is still usable, put the drive back in it and try it again. Do not clear OPC each time, it's there so the drive can 'learn' how to burn. I said to do it once so it cleared out anything weird, after that you shouldn't touch it again.
themfm Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 I know I have said this before, but thanks again for your quick responses I appreciate it. Old machine is not around. Okay I will buy some new verbatims clean my drive clear OPC ONCE and not touch it any more. Do I need to adjust the buffer or change any of the force hyper tuning, online hyper tuning, overspeed or smart burn? I started Kprobe and at 12% and the bottom of screen I and getting "Servo error 030900 at LBA" and it is still count.
themfm Posted February 16, 2015 Author Posted February 16, 2015 Lighting here is a word doc of both the back of the disc from my last attempt and the kprobe. screen prints.doc
themfm Posted February 16, 2015 Author Posted February 16, 2015 Hey Lighting I downloaded burner max payload and used my other drive and it looks like it worked fine 100%burn and 100% verify, so it looks like my drive laser is gone. Thanks for your help getting this resolved.
