sbrown11a Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I am new to creating DVDs so please be gentle with me! I have managed to create a movie from clips from my camcorder and photographs from my camera using Windows Movie Maker (Windows 8.1). I have used DVDStyler to convert the movie but was unable to burn the video to DVD. Advice from DVDStyler support was to convert the file to an ISO then use ImgBurn to burn that file to DVD. I'm still unable to burn the ISO file to DVD - this is the error message from the ImgBurn log "W 20:23:17 Failed to Write Sectors 360768 - 360799 - Reason: Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format". Please excuse me if I am doing something fundamentally wrong.

Just to let you know that since posting this topic, I downloaded a trial version of DVDFab and have managed to burn the same ISO file toDVD (at the second attempt). I would still like to know why it failed in ImgBurn please.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Your drive just reported an error when it tried to write to the disc. I'd have said to do a full erase on it and try again. Rewritable discs do tend to fail to burn more frequently than write once media.
