Njaco Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I have been making DVDs with DVDDlick and an external slim drive. Everything has been fine for several months but now the program seizes up. Imgburn stops at "Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices". Meanwhile, the Windows Media center has a completely black screen that the only way out is to reboot the whole system. Any suggestions or ideas as to what is wrong and how to fix it? Thanks!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 What OS are you running? Does it complete the scan if you don't have the external drive plugged in? Microsoft have a tool for repairing common optical drive related problems. Just google 'Microsoft cd fixit' and you'll find it. Give that a try and come back to us if it doesn't fix it. You must have a driver or something installed on your system that's messing things up.
Njaco Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 ok thanks. It preps and scans fine - just when the burn starts, it freezes. Next time I will screen capture the log.
