Dual Layer Playback Problem

I have burned two DL DVDs so far and both have the same playback defect.   After the disc has been playing for 2-3mins it will freeze and skip ahead a few minutes and resume playing.   These are two different DVD files that have been burned, btw.   My Driver has been updated and I am using Memorex DVD+R DL.  I burn at a low speed, usually 8x or lower.  Disc burned without any error messages.  I can can try burning another copy and post the log file if necessary.

I guess your playback device is having trouble reading them. Try cleaning it with a cleaning disc.

 

Read the pinned topic on burning DL discs too. You should be using Verbatim MKM-003-00 media, not the rubbish CMC stuff that various companies stamp their name on.

Yeah, if this is your first time using CMC Memorex media on this particular DVD player, it's down to the player.  Either it doesn't like the discs or the player is dying.  If you've tried these discs on other players and they skip on them, too, it's either the media itself or your DVD burner is the problem.
