dbminter Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 When I booted into Safe Mode, booted back into normal Windows mode, and started ImgBurn, I got a notification saying Operating system has been changed. Would booting into Safe Mode cause this?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 If it reports a different version, yes. Windows only reports up to v8.0 without extra bits being added to the exe's manifest. Safe mode might report it correctly without one - so you'd actually see it's v8.1 etc.
dbminter Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 I had run ImgBurn in Safe Mode before booting back into Windows normal mode. Does ImgBurn store what the last returned Operating system version was when it shuts down?
