tschlenger Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Please bear with me as I'm a total novice at this. I downloaded an MP4 video I would like to burn to a DVD. I picked up some Verbatim DVD+R DL discs with 8.5GB capacity and attempted to follow the guide here for burning to a DL disc. I ran into the ISO9660 file system size error. I checked out the FAQ and did a forum search to try and figure out options but did not seem to find a simple (to me) answer that dealt with a single, large video file. Below is my log: I 20:24:58 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started!I 20:24:58 Microsoft Windows 8 Core x64 Edition (6.2, Build 9200)I 20:24:58 Total Physical Memory: 16,657,412 KiB - Available: 14,407,380 KiBI 20:24:58 Initialising SPTI...I 20:24:58 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...I 20:25:00 -> Drive 1 - Info: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SU-228FB AS00 (E:) (SATA)I 20:25:00 Found 1 DVD±RW/RAM!I 20:28:46 Operation Started!I 20:28:46 Building Image Tree...I 20:29:17 Checking Directory Depth...I 20:29:17 Calculating Totals...I 20:29:17 Preparing Image...E 20:29:17 File size exceeds the limit imposed by the ISO9660 file system.E 20:29:18 Name: C:\Users\Travis\Desktop\There and Back Again, A Hobbit's Tale recut by David Killstein\There And Back Again, A Hobbit's Tale.m4vE 20:29:18 Size: 4,924,977,627 bytesE 20:29:23 Operation Failed! - Duration: 00:00:36 Is there a way in the options to allow me to still use ImgBurn to get the file on the DVD in a way that can be played on my Blu-ray player? Big thanks in advance and I apologize if a solution to this was posted somewhere else and I just missed it.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Doesn't it tell you exactly what to do? I.e. Switch the file system to just UDF? As no conversion takes place, make sure your player supports MP4 files.
tschlenger Posted August 6, 2015 Author Posted August 6, 2015 Switching to UDF seemed to do the trick. It never asked me to configure the layer break position though the burn seemed to complete successfully and the disc worked in my player . Now please look away while I attempt to tuck back in my ignorance before too many others see it.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 The layer break selection screen only comes up for DVD video burns on DL media. You're just burning a data disc really.
