pnag Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Hi, Using an LG GGW-H20L, same spindle I've burnt tonnes of other discs from (Verbatim BD-50s) - I've found there are two discs (BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders, not isos) that I simply can't seem to burn. Everything starts as normal, but stays indefinitely on "Reserving Track" so even the logs are useless. If I manually reboot, the disc is empty and re-usable, but if I try again, both of these 'problem' discs simply won't burn. Any ideas? Can post more info if required, but not sure what to post as the logs look fine!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 If you could copy + paste everything in the log window when it's at the point where the drive is meant to be reserving the track, it would help. If others are working ok, I can only assume it's a size thing and you drive can't handle what's being asked of it and it isn't returning an error, it's just freezing (that could also be driver related).

LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Can you boot into safe mode and see if you have the same problem please?
pnag Posted August 7, 2015 Author Posted August 7, 2015 Tried it in safe mode and same result I'm afraid! Getting a new burner in the next few days so will try that - but silly question, could it be the data?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Nope, it's not the data. The program is simply sending the 'reserve track' command to the drive with a value for the size to reserve (based on the amount it has to burn). You're well within the limits where the size of the disc is concerned. Commands should either succeed or fail... never get 'stuck'.
pnag Posted August 8, 2015 Author Posted August 8, 2015 Ah I see! Just that everything else data wise/disc wise has worked, but not this one. Must have tried it over a dozen times now. I'll try it again when the new burner arrives and let you know? By the way - thanks for an amazing piece of software, I don't use anything else and always recommend it - cheers!
