I've attempted the burn three times, on each occasion it verifies correctly (using DVDInfoPro) but during playback freezes (in the same scene, though at different points!) and then jumps to the next chapter. The original disc doesn't display the error, but the back-up does. I've re-ripped the disc to ensure that it isn't a potential problem there. Also I've never seen the burn speed rise like that during a burn - should I look towards AWS detailed here:http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?/topic/4249-how-to-use-the-automatic-write-speed-aws-feature-in-imgburn/Any ideas gratefully received!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Why not let ImgBurn verify it? Is your PC your playback device for these discs? Different drives are better/worse than others. You should try some different discs.
meedermow Posted September 13, 2015 Author Posted September 13, 2015 (edited) Why not let ImgBurn verify it? Force of habit really. Always used DVDInfoPro and burning on my old XP laptop seems more stable than Windows 8.1. So I burn on the XP and test on the desktop 8.1 since it's faster. Is your PC your playback device for these discs? Nope - standalone Panasonic Blu-ray player.Different drives are better/worse than others. Granted, my old Matashita gave up the ghost so recently upgraded to the Samsung. Been fine for the last few weeks, but this is a new bunch of discs. You should try some different discs. I think that's the next step since Verbatim dual layer Blu work fine, it's just these Verbatim single layer that give issues. Tried a different (single-layer) film and the same errors occured, weirdly at exactly the same time during the film (30 mins in!) Edited September 13, 2015 by meedermow
