Hi, first off I'm using a Liteon IHAS 124 (F - revision) drive....my PC is all up to speed. I have two XBOX 360 game ISO's - 1. Scream Ride & 2. Nike Train USA...both are like 8.5g....I use burner max payload 0.15
and Imgburn 2.5.8.0...I don't use expensive verbatims I use philips or TDK or Optimum..I never have any issues with coasters or games not playing until i ran into these oversized files....

I have the imgburn settings as I've read. buffer at 512, opc enabled, burn proof disabled, advance setting as recommended..test burns with 3 different types of media all complete successful...then when I do the actual burn it fails each time right at the layer break 2133520 (just over half way through the burn) both game .DVD files show the layer break the same 2133520....

I had it set to automatically chose the layer break & entered it manually to the same outcome...opc on or off doesn't matter...I have made about 15 coasters so far trying to figure this out...I have even tried an ASUS DRW 24B 1ST B drive, same results.....I think I didn't forget anything.....any ideas? would be greatly appreciated....oh yeah I have truncate selected in imgburn, I've tried with overburn selected too same results.. I have overburn selected now....I also ran both iso's through abgx first and they came out good to go.....and yes both drives show 8.7gigs after burner max is enabled........

I have no issues burning the regular 6 to 7.5 g games I guess you call those XDG2 games...

also understand I have tried a variety of other setting from what i have read....I've made over 20 coasters trying to figure this out....

the games came from www.gametorrents.com  ......I finally broke down and have some Verbatims coming tomorow via mail to try.....the games I have are on a variety of discs (none are verbatims and they all work) my issues only started with these oversized game iso's.......I think I covered everything....I'll be checking for replies comstantly...I hope someone can help me figure this out...thx so much.....

Here's my LOG FILE:  both iso game files do the same thing...

Reset ImgBurn's settings. There's no reason to change anything and half the stuff you read on the internet is complete rubbish.

The program will tell you which drive settings to change (and offer to do it for you) when you're using the recommended MKM-003-00 discs. Basically, just enable the 'force hypertuning' option. The others are left alone.

Burn them at 4x and you don't need the payload tool as 2.5.8.0 does it automatically.

thank you so much for the information.....the verbatims come this morning....I will immediatly post my results..in the mean time I will reset imgburn like you requested and enable the force hypertuning option ONLY.....

I'm not sure I understand why I don't need burner max though?  by using a vertabim disc will imgburn allow the full burning to 8.7g without burner max?  it that right?
