Failed to Read Sectors - Reason: Unrecovered Read Error

Below is my log.  I've tried different media (which doesnt mean a whole lot I guess) and I've looked for new drive firmware but Dell isn't reporting anything newer.  Dis writes OK, just keeps failing verification.  I've tried 4x and 8x.  The "Failed to Read Sectors" error hits at different places each time.  Tried a reboot with very clean OS to no advantage.  Thoughts??  Thanks in advance.

I've read years of you blaming disks with that type of question on this forum ... the same dye that is on the dozens/hundreds ? of other burns that have been successful are not good for this single ISO?  I'll try another software package - thanks for your time.  I guess.

I see no reason for this problem to be image specific. The disc is coming out unreadable, that's it.

What you have to understand is that working burns are down to your drive / firmware / media combo. The software simply passes the data to be written to the disc to the drive.

If I ask you to write down a sentence and you have awful handwriting, use a thick marker pen and use blotting paper, it's not really my fault when someone else can't read it.

Use your best handwriting, a decent pen and decent paper.

I wish you every success with other software.
