Hi, I apologize if this issue has been brought up before. I burned an Mds ISO file and the burning process was fine except the disc wouldn't play in 2 blu-Ray players ( Sony BDP-BX520, and Samsung BD5100).

I put the disc back in my computer to discover 2 folders on the disc (BDMV, and Certificate). Currently I'm only able to watch the file by streaming it on VLC player, but I got it for a blu-Ray player.

If anyone can help me on this I would greatly appreciate it.

P. S Not sure if this helps but the drive I used to burn was an Apple SuperDrive.

Can you post the log of you burning and verifying the disc please?

Sorry for the delay. I believe this is the correct log.

That would be my guess, too.  I know that the PS3 actually checks the type of physical media inserted in order to play it.  For instance, if you have a DVD that fits on a CD and burn it to a CD, it won't play on the PS3 because it sees a CD inserted and looks for CD content to play.  Plus, DVD+R DL sized DVD's won't play on the PS3 if you burn them to BD's.

Try burning those folders to a BD-RE or BD-R and see if that helps.

Sorry, I meant to ask for a log, too, when I saw this post earlier this morning.

Not all players will play BD content from a DVD discs, they only look for BD content on BD discs. Beyond that, I've no idea.

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm thinking the Certificate folder is the problem, because discs seem to work in my player when it's just a BDMV file. Is there a way of stopping the Certificate folder from being put on the disc?

No problem, thanks for the reply.

Sorry for replying twice. I was trying to say thank you for your help.

I actually found a solution. I took the BDMV file from the disc and copied it to my desktop. I then burned that file onto another disc and now it plays in my blu-Ray player. Thanks again for your help.
