KizerTheGreat Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 After burning a video_ts folder in imgburn 2.1.0.0 I can delete the dvdvideo files, but I cannot delete the folder itself. I get the following error: Thanks, Kizer
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 It would appear the program still has some sort of 'handle' open to it. I tried quickly to reproduce it but couldn't. Could you just tell me exactly how you add the folder / files to the main ImgBurn GUI? Do you drag + drop? Do you type it in manually to the 'edit' box at the top? Do you browse for the folder? Which folder do you add, the VIDEO_TS one or it's parent folder?
KizerTheGreat Posted October 17, 2006 Author Posted October 17, 2006 Thanks for the reply. I added only the video_ts folder and not it's parent using the Imgburn DVDVideo Shell Ext. Thanks, Kizer
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 ok, that could be where the problem is coming from The program opens with a 'current folder' and normally that's the ImgBurn folder. Whatever the 'current' one is, the program always keeps a handle open to it - not my doing.
KizerTheGreat Posted October 17, 2006 Author Posted October 17, 2006 Any work arounds? What can I do to delete the folder? Thanks, Kizer
Chris Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Any work arounds? What can I do to delete the folder? Thanks, Kizer I shall look into it guys.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Well if Imgburn is the problem, I'd just close it! If that doesn't work, it was never Imgburn in the first place.
Chris Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Any work arounds? What can I do to delete the folder? Thanks, Kizer I can't replicate it. Does it happen everytime, or is this the first time? If it is a one off then a reboot will allow you to delete the folder. Anyone else had this issue with the shell ext?
KizerTheGreat Posted October 17, 2006 Author Posted October 17, 2006 I can't delete the folder even after closing imgburn so I don't think it's imgburn. Thanks, Kizer
fordman Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Any work arounds? What can I do to delete the folder? Thanks, Kizer Yes, download Process Explorer from Sysinternals: http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/ProcessExplorer.html It's free and is great. Search for a file handle (binoculars) - suggest just entering video as the search term. In the results window, double-click the term that looks like the one that is relevant and then when you get to the file handle listing, right click on the highlighted one and choose to "close handle." Works for me every time, and saves you from having to reboot! I have one program, QuickSFV, which I use for making .SFV files that sometimes crashes Windows Explorer and it leaves the file handle open to the .SFV that it was making. Closing the handle allows me to delete the incomplete .SFV file and start over...
