arronb2009 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Hi First time of posting so apoligies if this has been asked before, I couldnt find this certain topic in the forum. I am using IMG with DVD FLICK and have been using both for years with zero problems but all of a sudden when my AVI file has encoded and finished and the IMG burn starts the buffer hits 100% and the Device buffer and complete bars do not move, I have left it for hours with nothing happening, once I try to abort or to leave IMG burn I can't and have to log off my settings and switch off my pc to stop IMG, the disc tray will not open also as there is a disc spinning inside. All my PC settings are up to date as is my programmes. I am using HP Pavilion/windows 10 I have tried many discs all blank of course I have posted a pic of the problem and hope someone knows what this problem is. Many thanks
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 How many successful burns have you had with your current hardware / software setup? As the program says it's attempting to write the LeadIn, I'd say your machine/drive isn't processing any of the 'Write' commands at all. Boot into safe mode and see if you have the same problem. I'd also suggest installing the current version of ImgBurn and copying ImgBurn.exe into the DVDFlick installation folder - as the one it bundles is very old now. Once you're on the current version, load it up and go into Write mode. Right click on the drive selection drop down box and pick 'Family Tree'. Close the prompt that comes up and then copy + paste everything from the Log window please.

I will try what you noted and get back to you. Thanks again

LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 So you had the same problem in safe mode? Can you do anything to the 'mode' of your sata controller in the bios? Try the ide/ compatible/ahci type options. If you have access to another drive, try that instead of your current one. Have amd released any driver updates for you controller? Not a fan of anything non Intel myself.
