Hello all. I just tried this discovery thing and img shows me an error. I dont get any of it. What is this supposed to mean? Is there a problem in my dvd writer?

I have attached the error along.

Could someone explain me what is this.

Thanks.

Usually that error means the drive don't like the disc you use.

There seams to be an updated version of firmware for that drive (A101 vs A100 that currently is installed). It may fix it or not. (Isn't mentioned in the Fix area) http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=F1H8M

You can try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc if you have acces to one. (Don't buy it)

Try use quality disc that is always recommended. (Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden)

Right ianymaty. I will tell you what I did. I found an old re re-writable CD(Moserbaer) and just clicked on Discovery on IMGBURN. Its an old one, so what you say may be true - bad disc. But the next question is should i try checking DIscovery with another new CD or DVD to find if the problem still comes?
