Hello guys,

Will start with a little bit of history for better understanding >

For the past 10 yrs I've been using my old LGA775 computer + Win 7 & EAC to rip and burn cds. My writer has always been the Plextor premium 2 and they worked flawlessly each time. Recently, I've replaced my old computer with a newer X99 platform + Win 10 and installed the same old Plextor 2 (along with an IDE to Sata adaptor) while also adding a newer Asus DRW-24F1MT unit. When I got to burning discs with my new setup, EAC was hanging under writing lead in forever with both units and wouldn't close without the task manager. Burned 2 discs with Foobar + the cd burning plugin and 1 completed fine, the 2nd failed close to the end but it did play well in my cd-player. What I don't like is, foobar burning is very primitive and always writes at maximum speed. I then got to imgburn and these forums. Installed imgburn and tried 2 discs, one with Plextor and the other with Asus. I've set the minimum speed for both and it went well to a point when it failed to a certain track but afterwards it continued with the other tracks. On both discs it failed on a track from the same Artist & albums which makes me think it's something wrong with that particular album. However, the tracks from this artist play perfectly on foobar and were also written well with foobar. Any clues ?

Please find attached the log ! Also made some screen pics so please ask if they are needed, as well as any other info regarding my PC hardware !

Hmm, quick update > the last CD written with imgburn & Plextor appears to be playing just fine on my CD player (including the track where it gave the error) !?!
