Verbatim 100 gb BDXL on Asus BW-16D1HT win xp pro sp3 only sees 650 gb

I have Verbatim 100 gb BDXL discs by Mdisc on Asus BW-16D1HT drive using win xp pro sp3. Imgburn only sees 650 gb (665,690 mb) when I go to Write Files/Folders, but in Read mode it sees Free Space : 100,103,356,416 bytes.

I haven't tried to burn one yet, because these discs are $20 each, but, presumably, if i burn it as is, I will lose about 1/3 of my disc capacity for some reason.

Any ideas?

I typed this in by hand on my cell phone, so, to save time, I left off the labels. If you need more, I have to manually type it.

That looks fine to me.

Where exactly are you seeing the figures you mentioned earlier?

At a guess, you're seeing the size of a 74 minute cd listed somewhere. That's nothing to do with the capacity of your disc.

Also, it's ~ 650MB rather than ~ 100,000MB you've got on your disc. No where near 1/3rd ;)

Yeah, that's probably showing its for a cd. It's telling you how much you've used and will adjust that size up to the next level of disc as you go beyond it. I.e. Cd -> DVD -> DVD DL -> BD -> BD DL etc.

No, you can use the 'calculate' tab back on the main screen for that.

You do have the output mode set to 'device' and with the disc in the drive yeah?

You can also uncheck the 'Automatic Target Media' checkbox in the bottom right of the DLE window and pick BD-R TL manually.
