I started doing back ups of my videos again after 6 or 8 months, the only difference is Im on Windows 10 now (Log shows windows 8 , dont know why), last try burning just failed (didnt save the log ). Been searching for solutions and didnt find any , tried to check dma but IDE/ATAPI drivers dont show any channels just one entry about the chipset. LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 4, 2016 Share Posted May 4, 2016 I'd say there's something in the background going on that's making your drive thrash around a bit. It's taking 7 - 8 seconds for the buffers to recover and your buffer is only 80MiB. That's a pretty awful recovery rate. Most drives should be able to do that in 1 second if a sequential transfer.
