Any way to unlock lower write speeds?

I have a whole bunch of Verbatim DVD+R DL dvds, I have successfully burnt COD: World at War with Project X 2.0 on to it, but when I burn GTA IV EFLC with MDv11, nothing comes up when I start the game. the game starts up and functions as a retail copy, no mods. I think it is because I don't have access to the 2.4x write speed, ImgBurn says I can only burn at minimum 4x. Is there any way to force a lower write speed? Please help!

The drive's firmware controls that sort of thing. There's nothing ImgBurn can do to get around it I'm afraid.

 

If it burns and verifies ok, your discs should be fine.

 

Post the log so we can see what's happening please.
