bodil Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Hi all, I recently created an iso file using image burn. During the build stage I was not asked to specify layer breaks and no mds file was created. When I try to burn Imgburn says there is not enough room on the disk (see attached screenshot). When I insert a dual layer disk Imgburn says I don't need a dual layer disk as it should fit on a single layer disk. I am using DVD+R Verbatim single layer disks. I have burnt 100s of discs and this is the first time I have got this error. Many thanks Bodil
bodil Posted June 25, 2016 Author Posted June 25, 2016 I did read somewhere that DVD-r hold a bit more than DVD+r however the only info I could see in Imgbrn related to +R. Is there no way you can specify Imgburn to build an iso for DVD+r? I know that would mean using a dual layer but I don't want to bu a DVD-r when a have a few spindles of +Rs and dual layers.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Yes, on the 'Media' tab... Which you'll find on the 'Advanced' one.
dbminter Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 If it's a DVD Video disc, use DVDShrink to shrink it by 1% and it should probably fit.
bodil Posted June 25, 2016 Author Posted June 25, 2016 Thanks all. Found the media tap and advanced settings.
